Exploring the Mon Repo Palace and Its Gardens

Our next stop will be Mon Repo palace it’s a unique neoclassical mansion which is now a museum with a big park and gardens around it leading to a small beach and have magnificent views of the fortress and the old town. It used to be the royal palace of Greece and it’s known for where Prince Philip of England was born a walk around the palace it would make you feel special.

Vlacherena Monastery and Mouse Island Visit

Very close to Mon Repo is the Vlacherena Monastery and the Mouse island in the Kanoni area situated just outside Corfu town it is probably the most photographed spot in Corfu because of the stunning beauty of the monastery which is located near the sea and very close to the airports runway where planes landing just near the area. Your visit in Corfu is not completed if you don’t snap a photo from Kanoni with the view of Vlacherena and have the chance to try the local ginger beer at one of the cafes there.

The Achillion Palace Finale

Last visit of our tour will be the Achilion Palace situated approximately 15 minutes outside Corfu town at the traditional village of Gastouri it was built in 1890 for the empress of Austria “Sissy” her love of the island and Greek mythology made her create this amazing palace which is now a museum and have beautiful gardens around it with many statues including one of Achilles that was believed to be her favourite and that’s where the name of the palace came from.
